Google Play Developer Policy Updated

Google Play is the largest market of apps. To keep the things right, the developer policy plays a major role. It guides the developers about how to meet the standards or what is forbidden while developing android apps. When you have one of the largest app marketplaces in the world, it’s necessary to make sure that there is an ongoing positive experience for both users and app developers. This is the responsibility which Google Play team and its Developer Program Policies face in maintaining an effective app ecosystem through educating the android developer community and defining appropriate content and activities in the store. The Google developer team has recently announced that it has tweaked and updated the Google Play Developer Program Policy Center to communicate their policies with greater transparency and clarity. This redesign includes:
  • Thematic organization of policies, so it is easier for developers to find relevant policies and understand the broad principles behind them.
  • Visual examples and detailed guidelines for the most common violations based on developer feedback.
  • Expanded information on our policy enforcement to help resolve violations.
  • A visual refresh embracing Material Design to help developers more intuitively find the information they are looking for on mobile or desktop.
Review: These new changes, especially thematic organization of policies, will play a major role in helping the developers. Google is continuously working hard to make things easier for android application development. Source: App Developer Magazine
